... and more festivals...

So the writer just keeps gaining momentum. Who’d a thunk it? Well, we thunk it, truth be told, or we wouldn’t have made it.

Just when all the blueness of Covid lockdowns had taken about as much of a toll as a sane man could handle, or me, we got the news that The Writer had won the Audience Award at A Night of Horror in Sydney. It really gives one the warm and fuzzies to know that audiences like our weird sense of story telling.

Since then, another festival has accepted us into their fold, Another Hole in the Head Film Festival in San Francisco. That’s definitely one we’d hoped for. More are coming, I’m certain.

It’s a little trite to bring up the fact that the film couldn’t have been made without the combined efforts of everyone involved, but that doesn’t make it any less true and I hope we can get our collective juices of the creative kind flowing again for the next film… and being the creative types we are, we have no shortage of ideas to choose from.

The Writer is good, no question, but it is the first baby step for a really cool collective, collaboration, cooperative and a few other co words that have slipped my faulty memory. Stand back, everyone, good things this way cometh.
